Importance of artist statement is one of the best things that artists can do to build a collector base.\u00a0 It is important for collectors to understand your story.\u00a0 What is your work about?\u00a0 How do your paintings relate to your story.\u00a0 How do you approach your art personally and worldly.<\/p>\n
I have been a painter for many decades and early on a very special friend encouraged me to take a look at why I decided to become a painter.\u00a0 Was there something I was trying to say besides just creating work on canvas.\u00a0 It took me over six months exploring the why, other than the pure joy of creating.\u00a0 I have created many different collections that have different subject matter.\u00a0 All of the collections begin from the statement that I have created.\u00a0 When I step up to my canvas the thoughts that come to mind are my philosophy first and then the subject.\u00a0 Many of my subjects relate to the balance of our society.\u00a0 Have both a feminine and masculine perspective are good qualities in creating balance.\u00a0 I do a series of women portraits, and friends that touch on this subject.\u00a0 The statement runs through all of them. “Celebrating the colorful magic of life”.<\/p>\n
