This Mexico Art Print, El Set is from the Architectural Whimsy Collection. The prints in this collection are from\u00a0 beautiful places all over the world, but this one was actually inspired by my visit to a famous restaurant called El Set.\u00a0 It was where the cast and crew would go each day after their shoot on the movie set, Night Of The Iguana.\u00a0 It is in lower Conchas Chinas in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.\u00a0 It is my home now, where there are crystal clear turquoise waters, and beautiful emerald Green jungles where our beautiful fishing village is nestled in between.<\/p>\n
My Architectural\u00a0 Whimsy Collection paintings were inspired by my travels to Magical Places across the globe.\u00a0 These works are the Inspiration for The Architectural Whimsy Collection which is a colorful, vibrant and playful series that began during my travels in Europe.<\/p>\n
I was visiting the quaint village of St. Paul de Vence in the south of France after teaching a workshop, and as I was walking down the stone staircase, I looked out over the village and noticed that they were leaning or tilting with age.\u00a0 I was inspired to paint them as they were and sold the works immediately.\u00a0 The rest is history.\u00a0 This collection is now much more about my feelings of magic visiting these charming places in the quiet corners of Italy and France rather than what I actually saw.\u00a0 They sway and sing, talk and dance in their whimsical contortions.<\/p>\n
As she developed this series it came to her attention that everyone has that special attachment to their memories, from their travels,\u00a0 of these magical places.\u00a0 I know that I love my favorite pieces hanging in my kitchen and living room.\u00a0 Every time I pass them, it reminds me of that special moment in a magical space.<\/p>\n
These inspirational experiences have blossomed into multiple images of beloved US locations as well as Europe and Mexico. Many of the Architectural Whimsy images are available as hand embellished, limited edition Giclee Prints on canvas, as well as some open edition prints and products.<\/p>\n
