In the heart of the Romantic Zone, a new creative vision is taking shape—one that brings together fine art, community, and meaningful conversation.
I am Kathleen Carrillo, a master acrylic painter with an international collector base. After decades of exhibiting and selling work globally, I made the intentional decision to live and create in Puerto Vallarta.
This coastal city is a rare microcosm:
a place of beauty, cultural diversity, playful energy, and an international audience that deeply values art, travel, and creative expression. Living and working here allows me to paint in an environment that is less stressful, more inspired, and rich with human connection.

My figurative paintings address resilience, inclusion, and empowerment—both masculine and feminine. These works explore strength through vulnerability and celebrate the shared humanity that connects us all.

My Architectural Whimsy collection captures beloved places around the world. Buildings bend, lean, and appear to dance together—sharing laughter, memories, and music. These paintings are inspired by travel destinations that carry emotional resonance and a sense of wonder.
• Nature, Ocean, and the Rhythm of Life
The Fragrance of Life reflects my fascination with nature’s sensual beauty—while Ocean Magic celebrates beach umbrellas, coastal light, and the hypnotic movement of the sea.
• Abstract Art: Ed Juxtapositions
My newest abstract collection is an intuitive exploration of color, design, and energy. Each mark leads to the next, creating layered compositions that invite the viewer to get lost, follow movement, and form a personal relationship with the painting.
A New Four-Story Art Gallery & Studio in Puerto Vallarta
Recently, I purchased a beautiful building in the heart of the Romantic Zone and began transforming it into a four-story fine art gallery and creative space dedicated to Living Artfully.
This project is deeply personal and intentionally designed for artists and art lovers alike.
The Vision Includes:
A new elevator for accessibility
A professional, light-filled art studio created specifically for workshops and creative work
Redesigned interiors to enhance the presentation of fine art
Art displayed throughout every floor and walkway, creating a continuous vertical gallery
Rather than separating art into single rooms, the entire building becomes an immersive experience—where creativity flows freely from one level to the next.

Puerto Vallarta has long attracted travelers for its beauty, but it is also becoming a destination for collectors, creatives, and those seeking deeper experiences through art.
This new gallery and studio space is my invitation to the community—to slow down, engage with art on a meaningful level, and participate in a life shaped by creativity.

Kathleen Carrillo
Kathleen has her masters degree in fine art specializing in painting and printmaking, from the University of Oklahoma. She has been painting for over thirty years, and has national and international acclaim. Her works are found in public and private collections throughout the world and she has won awards too numerous to mention. Each of her purchases are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a resume. Her original images are sought after and sold quite frequently before they are completed. She is often working on commissions, and preparing for gallery shows. You can be assured that your originals and giclee prints will have the expression that you would expect, and the highest quality works available on the market. Kathleen personally signs and numbers each hand embellished, limited edition giclee and guarantees your purchase with a certificate of authenticity.
