Designing with abstract art is a winning combination.  Most decorators love to create spaces with art that is non objective.  These works of art harmonizes with a room and do not take away from the overall theme of a space.  If it is important for you to have work that lends itself to setting a tone in a room. Vibrational Energy

There is a vibrational energy in home decor and abstract art lends itself to supporting the vibration that you want to create.  Color is a major factor in setting a vibration.  Bold colors create a loud statement and demand more attention.  This might be a great choice for a front room or a game room  where you want to be bold.

The two works to the right of us are examples of paintings that would work well in counselors office.  A work that has muted pastel colors might be a good choice for a doctors office or a guest bedroom.  Having monochromatic colors is also a quieting vibration.  Soft energy in a painting can be a very calming room addition.  It is a place for someone to focus without to much stress.
