This collection started during the time of covid, as I had lots of time and attention on the project without distraction. The more I worked on them without any ideas or references, the more interesting the paintings became. They get more and more sophisticated in their layering and style. The emphasis is focused on a beautifully executed compositions.
This Designer Abstract Fine Art Print Collection is a wonderful addition to any room. They harmonize with furnishings and blend in perfectly with designer colors to tie the room together. The small Designer prints are perfect to group together in any environment. Columns are great for hanging a grouping vertically and they are an economical way to create a focal point over a bed or in the living room above the sofa. Three of the small designer abstract prints, each 20×20″, can span the wall and extend beyond seven feet with spaces in between each print.
When I step up to my canvas to start an abstract painting I do not have any references or ideas. It is my intent to create a beautiful and sophisticated layered surface with paint, graphics and collage. It is like creating a puzzle. I put one color that then requires that same color to be someplace else on the canvas. This process continues with colors of collage and mark making until I can call the piece complete. It requires concentration on composition during this process. The works begin to tell tells me stories about their meanings as it develops. Sometimes the stories grow and change with each layer and color added and removed.
