~Art and Spirituality~

I went to the new age gift store last week to get some Ayurvedic essential oils for my skin and while I was there, I discovered a reading niche labeled Art and Spirituality with every Spiritual oracle card deck imaginable.  I sat down in this lovely little niche,  on the ottoman, they so graciously provided and began to explore the dazzling beauty and amazing positive affirmations that these cards shared.  This Art and Spirituality niche sent an arrow into my heart.  I was instantly clear about what this next year will be dedicated to!

What do I love to do more than anything in the world.  Of course  those of you who know me will know my answer!

CREATING ART  ~  PRACTICE SPIRITUALITY!

Before I go into my ramblings about my new years commitment, I want to wish you a good morning on this blustery New Years day .  I hope all of you had a wonderful new years celebration, and that you are considering how you will explore and expand your 2023.  I certainly have.  In fact, I have been thinking about something new I have wanted to explore for about ten years, and have finally decided to act on it.  My experience last week at the new age store just catapulted me into this exciting and long anticipated journey. Imagine, it was not even in my radar when I went into the store.  You never know when spirit is going to intervene.  It is when you least expect it!

I have also been on a lifelong journey of a very in depth metaphysical practice.  In fact, as many as 35 years ago I had a very close friend help me come up with my artists statement.  It took me about six months to really get clear about what that was and finally, after many modifications I got it! ~what my life as a painter was all about~.

ART AND SPIRITUALITY IN MY WORK

“Divine Inspiration is the source of my vision,

my life’s work, and my greatest Joy”

With each and every painting and all of my collections, this statement is at the forefront  as I step up to the canvas and start to Create.  The  “How Does Your Garden Grow” collection most reflects this utilization of the feminine principle, and of course those of you that are collectors of my work know how determined I am around the balance needed in the world.

Over these many years,  I was raised in the metaphysical practice of Christian Science, I have studied and practiced Feng Shui, become a Certified Soul Coach, studied many spiritual oracle card decks and the imagery that is created for them, to help students move into their hearts.

ALAS!  It is time for me to create my own  Soul Coaching deck to share with the world.  2023 will be the beginning of the creation of this exciting endeavor.  Already being in the practice of creating from my “Source” will make this journey a blessing.  I hope that you will find a wonderful way to share your beauty and gifts that have been endowed upon you this coming new year ahead.  Happy 2023!
